This was a bitter-sweet night. As we welcomed new members and the future e-board, we also said goodbye to some former e-board members. But there is a sense of continuity and a spirit of providence and strange coincidences that seems to haunt our team...with amazing, and sometimes hilarious results. From crash-courses in Japanese cuisine, to double visions of striped t-shirts, to miraculous fried ice cream, to lost cars, I cant wait to see what the next year holds.

Thanks Toni for sharing the picture with us. I smiled when I first read that you described the evening as spiritual, and the more I reflect on it, the more I see where you're coming from.

I'm really excited about viewing this movie. From what I've read so far, it builds a curiosity in me to really get a glimpse of what people are willing to risk in pursuit of their dreams, and what makes them so willing to take that risk. Many people have grand ideas about going into business, being their own boss. I am one of those people. I'm sure there are many others like me, who sometimes look around, trying to anticipate what the "next big thing" will be, and hoping to beat everyone else to it. Maybe it already came to one of us , and we brushed it off as nonsense, thinking, "oh this is too simple" or "this can't be such a good idea, surely someone else would have thought of it before."
The movie is entitled, CALL of the Entrepreneur. I hope when I get the call, I'm able to answer, or "they" leave a message.

I agree with Sherwin - the people are the ones who made this experience worth while! From the kids running around, through students, to our alumni.

An organization should indeed be a community of people working together towards a common goal. And when everyone in the organization shares a piece of the entrepreneurial spirit - all can see the goal appear slowly on the horizon.

Looking forward to Entrepreneur Night 2009 - and who knows - maybe someone who was quietly sitting in the audience on this Thursday evening, will be sharing her entrepreneurial spirit with students.
