My name is Jessica Lazo.
Although I was born and raised in Queens, New York, my family background comes from Ecuador.
From my native country’s culture, I learned from my dad to love to play soccer with my family, friends, and as part of Newtown high school’s girls soccer varsity team.
With my deep-rooted passion on helping people with their troubles, I’ve chosen my major in Management to become involved in the Human Resources field. However, now my interests also lie into pursuing a law degree which will help me reach out to more people in need of representation and aid. And, all my goals wouldn’t be possible without my number one role model, who is my mother.
I’m also involved on campus not only proudly helping educate more intelligent minds as Treasurer of the Management Society, but reaching out to the freshman community as an Alpha Mentor, reaching out to the undergraduate student body as an Junior Representative of Tobin College of Business, and not forgetting to do that community service because it helps us catch an important glimpse of the harsh realities occurring outside our campus. Finally I simply enjoy reaching out to any new person who usually manages to leave me inspired in new ways.
